Didn't make any announcements yesterday. because, the juniors went home early, and seniors were rushing because of school closing. So, shall say it here.

From next week onwards, There will be no more band practice because study break for MYE is here.

I believe that most of you have brought home your instruments so, PLEASE TAKE GOOD CARE!!!! we do not want our quarter master/mistress to be handing misproper care of instruments when band resume.

And some of you must be lazy and will not practice. i hereby to say,
PLEASE/MUST PRACTICE!!!!! We will be having a very very tight schedule when band resume from MYE. we have to practice real hard for the upcoming concert we going to have in June. though some of you might be thinking there are still time.. still got 2more months. let me tell you, it's going to be short. and each and everyone of you have to do your part by practising at home.

hence, it is a MUST to practice.
We won't want the perfomance to be a flop right? so, let's JIAYOU!!! okay??

However, DO NOT neglect your studies because of practising. remember to study hard okay! do well for MYE. anyone got problems, can try to look for the seniors in band. i'm sure they will be most willing to help. :)

people who are sick...
drink plenty of water & get plenty of rest. don't wander around singapore during the weekends. if you're too bored, read your textbooks. don't leave your house!!! unless you're going to the doctor.

lastly, today @ FEP. there's a band performance at 3pm. some of our band members are performing as well. maybe to those that are free would like to go and see?

On this coming monday, 14April'08.
we will be performing for the upper sec pupils in the hall during their assembly period.
Please leave your classroom at 12pm for recess and by 12.20pm be in the music room latest, 12.25pm. we'll then change to our full uniform and the majors will be doing some spot checks.

REMEMBER TO BRING,

*Black socks[for guys],
*Skin colour stockings[for girls],
*School LONG pants[for guys],
*Your round badge,
*Blazer.

The committees & SLs will be getting their hard-earn position/badge during the performance too. Remember to cheer as loud as possible for them!!! Do remember, they were the ones who organise, camps, games, and other events. and also in charge of our behaviours. They had did a good job over the years and this is the time whereby they are being recognized in front of the whole school. To show your gratitude to them, cheering would be the most wonderful thing for them.

Don't be shy, as a band, we face everything together. when someone have a problem, we will solve it together too. so cheer on!!!

PUNGGOL SECONDARY CONCERT BAND, also known as PSSB, was established in 2001. Through the years, with the support from the School and Teachers, PSSB have managed to overcome challenges and achieved beyond boundaries.

The Band has been under our Resident Conductress, Ms Ten Rong Rong, since our founding days. Under her baton, the Band participated in her first ever SYF in the year 2005, attaining a Bronze Medal. Since then, PSSB has maintained her standard and earned her well deserved medals in both Year 2007 and 2009.

Being part of the Performing Arts Group, the Band has constantly been part of the school’s celebration. From CNY Concert to the Annual Speech Day, PSSB is always there to bring entertaining music to the crowd. Apart from that, the Band is also nicknamed as the heart-beat of Punggol Secondary’s Marching Contingents.

PSSB started its very own mini-concert last year, specially organized for the members’ parents for their continuous support for the Band. The Band also performed in her first joined concert at TPY HDB HUB in 2006. In 2008, the Band was also involved in the Performing Group Concert held at the NAFA.

Together with Ms Ten and the teachers, PSSB is confident that we can continue to strive and attain higher standards of musicianship and also the passion for music in years to come.
